In class today, we discussed some of the underlying reasons for doing surveys on communities, and how they use their resources.
In your opinion, what are some of the reasons that communities should be surveyed for their resource use?
Why should surveys like this be done?
What new information do you have about our community now that we have done these surveys?

a) I think that it is a good idea to survey comuities for their resource use is because it is a good thing to know about how much of our nonrenewable and renewable sources are being used. It is a good thing to know this because if you know how much of our sources we have, we can figure out how much of our sources we have left. If we know that information, we can better identify how long we can continue to use (waste) these sources.
b) Surveys like these should be done so that people are informed of hour we use/waste our resources. If people don't know these things, they cannot improve their habbits. If people don't improve their habbits soon, it can caouse a big impact on the whole comunity(take out the y and add ies to get comunities).
c)I know that people are actualy pretty aware about water usage and most of recycling. Their habbits could use a bit of improvement, bu so far so good. Some of the surveys may not be precise because people might feel embarassed about what bad habbits they have about conservation and they decide to hide it by giving false answers in the survey. I feel confident though that most people have answered truthfuly and that the M.A.S.T.E.R.S program can make them more aware of our impact on the world.
I think that we surveyed people to find out their usage of energy, water and recycling. We are collecting this information so we can see which areas need the most improvement. Our preliminary analysis shows that most people in our community recycle. I think that peeple might even become more aware of the need to recycle just from having to answer our survey.
One reason why communities should be surveyed for resource use is because then people like the MASTERS students can find a way to help the enviorment to the most extent. For example if every one in the Pacific Palisades was doing an okay job of recycleing water (not that they are) and not taking up any of their time on energy then we should not take up all of our time on water usage and use more time on energy. We have a lot of new information about our community now that we have done these surveys.
Communities should be surveyed for their resouse use to make this place a better place. Taking the survey makes them think more about their environment. Communities can get information on how people think and do things. With this information communities can make changes.
Surveys like this should be done so changes can be made if needed.
Since we did the survey I learned that Palisadians are doing pretty good with conserving but they could do better.
communities were a god idea because the studence in MASTER got to see not only what they think but also what the people in the world think. i also think it is a good idea because it is good for kids to know how to t o tally votes and also to not be afrade to ask people ?.
one thing that i was noticing was a lot of people that read the paper and saw thing that they dont resicle and that they said that they are going to start to like stireform.
I THINK THAT COMMUNITIES SHOULD BE SURVEYED BECAUSE WE NEED TO HELP OTHERS BECOME MORE "GREEN" SO THAT GLOBAL WARMING WILL STOP. LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE ALREADY "GREEN" BUT OTHERS WHO AREN'T SHOULD BE.
i think it is a good idea to survey other communites because i think it is good to know how much people are reauseing and not reuseing.i also think it is a good idea for us to take surveys because i noticed that a lot of people said no to styrafoam and when they asked me if you could recycle it i said yes, they were like thank you so taking surveys is also a help to the people you are surveying
I think that it is a good idea to survey communities because the results will provide us with very important information that can help us figure out what needs to be done and what information needs to be exposed to the community. when we survey the people, they will ask themselves why we're doing the surveys and they will start to think more conciously about what they're doing.
Surveys like this should be done because it will alert people that something BIG in the world is happening.

One of the reasons why we have survayed our comunity is to show them how much they are helping earth or how much they arn't. We are also doing this to learn how many people in our comunity are helping the worl and to see how much of a percentage ar't. When we find out the real percentages we are going to encourage the people to save electricity and water so there isnt any more global warming, we should show them in how much danger our earth will be if they don't help with one person we can change the world a bit with more we can change the world a lot!
It is good to survey a communitey so we could know how they are doing and see if they need im provement. so farthey have been doing good but we could be doing better.
One of the reasons that communities should be surveyed for their recource use are that once they know how much waste they are producing, they can bring the amount of waste and carbon emissions down. Another reason is that the kmowledge of the amount of pollusion and waste will make people more aware. The last reason is that people don't know what to do and by surveying them , we make them realise what they are not doing.
Surveys like this should be done to make people realise what they are not doing and what they could be doing.
Noe that I have done this survey, I know that people are more aware than I tyhought.

I think that communities should be surveyed because its more than one persons opinion. You can get more than one opinion and compare them instead of just using your own opinion.
Surveys like this should be done so that we can gather information to find out our problems, after finding out our main problems we can find out our solution.
After our comunity filled out the surveys we found out most people are aware of our problem but they are not doing anything to help. One person may not make a difference but if we all put effort into it will make a big change.
1) I think that communities should be surved because it gives the MASTERS group a sense of what it is like when it comes to how good people use their resources and if they use it wisley.
2)I think surveys like this should be done because if we all get the same data then people are fully informed their own habbits and other peoples.
3)We have found out that people are pretty good at recycling at everything but still we could improve.
1) I think we surved areas to find out were people recycle. We could try to get people to recycle more in the areas that people don't recycle.
2) Others should do it too so more people could recycle more. If famus people did it more people would listen then if we do it.
3) We learned that more people in the Seven Arrows comunity recycle then in the palisades comunity.
1)I think people shoud be survaed because if they see the colected data,they will realize how bad this problem really is.
2)survays should be done because it gives us a big outlook of what comunities do.
