If you have come this far, then it means your group has created a mission statement for our MASTERS Program. Your have used ALL of the words from the “word association” activity at the beginning of this lesson. AND, you have added other words that your group felt were important.
We want to document (or keep track of) our thinking. This is a brand new program and all of you are like pioneers. You get to build the MASTERS program from the ground up!! The very first step is coming up with a Mission Statement that we not only define who are, but will act as a guiding force throughout our entire year.
We want a Mission Statement that really captures the important work we want to do this year. Each group is coming up with a suggestion. After all the groups have posted their suggestion, we will read them and make comments on what we like best about each.
TO POST YOUR MISSION STATEMENT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:

Type your Mission Statement into the comment box, along with the names of the students in your group.
Reread your statement to make sure you typed it right
Click "publish comment"

Our mission statment is...
We have a global energy crisis and it is changing the world's climate, so we need to take leadership to stop global warming.
Energy crisis can change global climate. We must create leadeership to save the world.
The world is undergoing a global climate and energy change; We the Masters program are forming a leadership to solve this crisis!
M.A.S.T.E.R.S. Orginazation will change the way the world is educated. We assume leadership by learning and teaching about global climate crisis and how it is related to energy.
my mission statement is
we will change the world by using less energy and take leader ship to help our global climate and save us from this crisis
The easiest way to convince my parents to do their job in reducing carbon emissions is to follow the speed limit and keep the tires pumped up. Other ways but may not be so easy would be asking my parents to take public transportation to work. It's easier in San Francisco then here in LA. Another way but it is not that easy is to ask my family to drive hybrid or electic cars.
